Susan Brown

Susan Brown - a self taught painter and musician.

Her paintings are typically of a romantic nature with subjects ranging from chunky roses to fish, birds and women.

Susan's work is somewhat impressionistic in style, though her techniques are difficult to categorize due to the fact that she's had no formal instruction.

Influences include: Gustav Kilt and Vincent Van Gogh. She is especially drawn to the works of Gustav Klimt because of his use of color and design, as well as the many floral/asian motifs he uses in his paintings.

The most recent of Susan's passions has been that of painting "The Madonna." "I love the spiritual aspect of this subject and the many ways to interpret her visually, as well as the varying interpretations of her relevance/significance."
